Like Father, Like Daughter

FATHER'S DAY 2007

PinF woke up to pitter-patter of little feet making their way downstairs to gather gifts. Sophia, as is her annual custom, had informed me Saturday night that Father's Day would be whatever I wanted to do. Sure enough my gifts, hugs, kisses and a back rub arrived at 8:35 AM. And so it was, after my gifts, my card, and our breakfast we could see a break in the clouds and loaded up for the beach. Unfortunately the sunny skies were short lived--no matter as we enjoyed the overcast skies and 83 degree ocean by riding waves, combing for beach glass and just plain enjoying the day and eachother. What more could I-- a father ask for? I've been blessed to have a truly nice little girl who as smart as she is cute. Every year as she has gotten older, she has both grasped and embraced her parents' days a little more.
